Las Palomas Beach and Golf Resort is a 350 acre master planned community on the shore of the Sea of Cortez in Puerto Penasco Sonora Mexico. The story of golf at Las Palomas began with passion. Golf course architects Forrest Richardson and Jack Snyder spent hours studying the terrain around Las Palomas to find the perfect land for the course. A true “links” course is sculpted from the sea dunes and built within the land, not on top it, taking advantage of native vegetation and topography.

The 18 hole, par 72 course winds through the desert and dunes back along the Sea of Cortez with challenging holes and breathtaking views. Players' abilities are challenged as they navigate fast fairways, avoid blow outs and master thier putting skills on slick greens. The measure of any golf course should be how often the golfer wants to return. The Links draws golfers from every skilll level and rewards its players with each new round. The course is designed to provide players a layout that can be played time and time again with continuing challenges and enjoyment. There is also a 19th hole or "bonus hole" to settle scores and celebrate the end of a great round of golf. Las Palomas best describes its course this way: Fairways become one with the landscape. Greens are nestled into pockets. Holes blend into the surrounds. Golf and land become intertwined.

   The Director of Golf at Las Palomas, Ron Castillo, has been a professional golfer for more than 25 years. Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, he has worked at many of the major resorts and country clubs.
